Welcome :) -- Updates ↓

Hello! Springtime is here! Not that I was especially looking forward to hot weather after my recent travelling but the cold weather here has certainly shocked the system. It's also nice to see things blossoming too.
As you all probably know by now, I have in the past month returned from my 10 week trip to Europe. It's been nice settling back into work again at Caretaker's Cottage. It's also been great to DJ again at a number of my favourite spaces and share much of the new vinyl I purchased overseas.
I have been a little bit boring on my return. I'm currently building my savings back up again from the trip but I have still been able to check out some fun things including a new underground space in the New Guernica club on Smith Street in Melbourne. Quite a cool space and concept. I hope there are future events there this year.
Asides from this and of course my return to Caretaker's Cottage, I am currently in the process of creating a folio submission to apply for my Master's of Architecture. I am quite excited and ready to return back into the world of architecture after so much time travelling and enjoying my other passion in music. I hope once completed, I will be hopefully be able to share some samples of this work with you all to enjoy. I hope to have the submission completed by October so perhaps expect to see a little less parties and events until then, but hopefully this summer will prove itself with some exciting opportunities to organise something.. we'll see how it goes.
In terms of other things I am looking forward to for the rest of the year, I'm very excited to be attending the second iteration of Moniker Festival at the end of September. I recall having an amazing time in the Otways for Moniker in 2023 and I am really keen to return to witness an impressive selection of artists.
In November, I'll also be attending Hopkin's Creek for the first time. The one doof that had continued to allude me, the last time I had tickets the festival cancelled due to flooding. Here's hoping this year proves to be an exciting one, as I have heard so many incredible stories from this festival. The lineup of course is really special too, I'm particularly excited for acts Mitsuki and Indonesia's Dita among many others. Looking forward to enjoying the bait shop!
And the last booking for the rest of the year is another return to Meredith this year! I've had two amazing visits to the most recent installments of both Meredith and Golden Plains, it truely is an amazing festival experience. I'm looking forward to dancing all weekend on the slight incline, among the couches and even more mates!
I'm realising now I also haventgone into too much detail on some of the specific events, parties and clubs I had the pleasure to witness in Europe. I think I will save this information for my next newsletter mail out which should hopefully include a couple of other exciting things in there too! Thanks to those who are still subscribed.
If you are reading this and you're wondering what my newsletter is all about, let me help you. On a very infrequent basis (like maybe 2 or 3 times a year) I send an email to all of my registered email subscribers some updates and exciting news. Most of the time it involves the first announcements or discounted ticket information to some of my parties or events other times it's just general information about what has been happening.
If you think you would like to subscribe all you need to do is, email
human@lukecvr.com and write 'subscribe' in the email subject line.
You may unsubscribe any time by replying 'unsubscribe' to any of my mail :)
I can still confirm there’s going to be a mail out quite soon these details about my recent trip. I'm just tieing the loose ends on some other projects I've been working on too.
Also as promised when I returned, I wanted to share the inscription left by the late James Isaacs on his release with Wax'o Paradiso, still mourning the loss of this talented and lovely man who left us so young.

Rest In Peace. James Isaacs
As always, thank you for the support. You will be hearing from me soon!
