Welcome! You have made it to my website, here I like to post monthly updates of everything going on. Hope you all had an enjoyable Easter! Over the holiday I was chuffed to be invited to perform at the Chill Stage at Sonder Music Festival. It was very nice to rendezvous with some close friends and party and also even more lovely to share some music. Recordings are being analysed for quality purposes as we speak so I will inform you all if any are uploaded. My recent Tepid Rhythm radio show featured quite a number of the tunes that I performed at Tallarook so definitely go have a listen to that.
The highlights from the weekend were certainly topped by Tornado Wallace & Fantastic Man performing for three hours as the sun set over the festival's final day. The performance included some exquisite selection and great house music classic's such as Fibre Foundation, Kerri Chandler and 2001. Other notable acts over the weekend included Cromby, Moktar and Tomoki Tamura.
Easter weekend is always a nice closing chapter to the summer that was. It has been a very busy season this year and it's nice to look ahead to some more slower weekends and cooler temperatures. The search for slower music has been a nice reset to my listenings but I have begun digging a lot more recently and my hunger for music is still very strong so hopefully I can put it to use.
At this stage, there is nothing listed on the Music tab for upcoming gigs, I'm attempting to organise some exciting things for later this year however if you are interested in bookings for party/club events do send me an email :) I am more than keen to be involved in any parties that are happening around Melbourne.
One exciting thing coming up soon is a weekend trip to Sydney! Darcy and I are heading up to witness DJ Sprinkles at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid. A long time inspiration of mine, I'm very much looking forward to seeing Terre Thaemlitz perform for the first time since she was last in Australia in 2023. I'm very keen to also be taking in the bar and restaurant scene while I am there along with record stores and bayside walks.
As I mentioned already, the April edition of Tepid Rhythm is uploaded for listening, you can listen back to all of the past Tepid Rhythm episodes via the music tab. If you are also like me, and would prefer to hear my selections without the gentle intruptions of my voice, I will also have a instrumental version of the show on the page, just below the SoundCloud window. These overdub free files are only listenable on this website.
