WRITTEN

Writing has of recent times been a useful tool to recount certain experiences in a more comprehensive and eloquent way. I often find it difficult to coherently present thoughts and experiences without the practice of writing my thoughts down. Written work within my varying fields of practice is something I want to conduct more of. I think it also helps to provide critical justification for my experiences.

Dekmantel Naarm breaks into Australia’s sore festival circuit with refreshing energy

At the moment of its announcement I was initially amazed that one of the globes largest dance events would be hosting its own iteration here in Melbourne. I was continuing to witness the Melbourne scene stumble in slow ticket sales and event cancellations. I was asking myself "what is it about the Melbourne dance scene that deserves this," and as it turns out, Dekmantel Naarm showed me the answer. After such a fun day at Footscray Park, I was succumbed to write about my findings. Published on area3000.radio. Inner Varnika: The Final Chapter?

An unsolicited reflection on the 2023 edition of Inner Varnika, an independant 3 day music festival held on Djargurd Wurrung Country, Western Victoria, Australia. Titled Inner Varnika X, the 2023 edition was advertised as the last installment of IV, this resulted in my inclination to write about the revered festival so as to create a recount document rather than a hype piece akin to common commercialism. "On Monday 20 March 2023, the monthly radio show Tepid Rhythm on the Melbourne (Australia) based streaming platform Area 3000 dedicated a full two-hour programme to Manuel Göttsching, focussing on his life and musical ventures. After presenting some interviews and articles, host Luke Sevior played E2-E4 in its entirety during the second hour of the show.
